Today at Apple sessions celebrate ‘The Big Draw’ festival with free art sessions throughout October

The Today at Apple sessions have become immensely popular for Apple over the years. One of the best parts is the company’s celebrations of festivals and other noteworthy days, or months, out of the year.
Take the month of October, for instance. This year, Apple is celebrating (via MacRumors) what’s called the “largest drawing festival” in the world, The Big Draw, throughout the month of October with free art sessions being held at all of Apple’s physical retail stores across the globe. These sessions will offer hands-on art lessons for the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, with attendees using the Adobe Fresco app to create their artwork.
Each session will be between 60 and 90 minutes in length. Apple will be providing the devices, so if you want to participate you’ll need to register at your earliest convenience. You can register from Apple’s website.
One of the sessions is called “Art Lab for Kids: Make Your Own Emoji”. Here’s how Apple describes it:
Kids will learn fun ways to create their own emoji. We’ll show them how to draw colorful faces and objects. They’ll get hands-on using the Adobe Fresco app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided.
Another session is entitled, “Art Walk: Drawing from Observation”:
Transform the way you observe and sketch the world around you. We’ll show you how being mindful of people, objects, or places in your surroundings will help you add interesting details to your drawings using the Adobe Fresco app on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Devices will be provided. Recommended for all skill levels.
These sessions are available at Apple Stores across the globe starting today, October 1, and go until October 31. However, if you find yourself near one of Apple’s flagship stores, like Apple Fifth Avenue in New York City, these stores will have special artist-led sessions for attendees to enjoy.
Are you thinking you’ll stop in for one of the Today at Apple sessions?
