Following the release of macOS Mojave 10.14.2 beta 2, Apple on Wednesday released new betas to developers for iOS 12.1.1, tvOS 12.1.1 and watchOS 5.1.2. It’s the second beta for the iOS and tvOS updates, and the first for watchOS.
It’s not clear yet what these new updates are going to bring. From what we’ve seen in the previous betas, they are mostly focused on bug fixes and other under-the-hood improvements. We do know that iOS 12.1.1 is bringing back the Live Photo feature for FaceTime calls and a refreshed FaceTime interface.
Since this is the first watchOS 5.1.2 beta, we’re really not sure what changes it contains. 9to5Mac reported that it’s going to add new complications to the Series 4 Apple Watch. We are currently installing it and the other betas, and we’ll be sure to report back if we find anything of note.
If you’re looking to install the betas yourself, make sure you are a member of Apple’s developer program and have the correct profiles installed on your devices. Then it’s as easy as performing an OTA update, or downloading the betas directly from the dev center.
As always if you see something new in one of today’s betas that we haven’t mentioned yet, feel free to tell us about it down in the comments below!
